Climate Crisis Leaves Malaysia with Hot Headed Youth Malaysia has long been touted as a leader in green initiatives and sustainable development, but beneath this veneer lies a more sinister reality – its youth are bearing the brunt of the climate crisis.
A recent Unicef survey paints a grim picture of the impact on young Malaysians. Conducted between June and October 2025, the poll gathered responses from over 1,400 young people aged 15 to 30 across the country.
The findings show that one in four respondents reported worsening illnesses, while nearly 20% cited heat related health problems.
